Wake uses native iOS notifications and starts background audio. As long as the app is installed and notifications are allowed, it rings — even with the phone locked.
No. Funds are in-app purchases meant only to cover daily penalties. This is stated in the Terms and is what makes the system non-gambling.
The iOS pedometer uses the motion coprocessor and tells real walking apart from shaking. We also have anti-cheat heuristics on the server.
No. AI Wake is fully optional and off by default. You can use Wake with the classic alarm sound only.
Settings → Account & privacy → Delete my account. Permanent immediate deletion, GDPR compliant.
